Senator Jon M. Bramnick is an experienced lawyer, professor and dedicated public servant for the counties in New Jersey’s 21st district. While serving in the State Assembly Bramnick was elected by his colleagues to serve four terms as the Republican Leader, making him the highest-ranking member of the Republican Caucus in the Assembly. He has served in the State Senate representing the 21st legislative district since 2022 and was re-elected in 2023 by 7% in a district that voted for President Joe Biden by 17 points. As a member of the legislature he has fought to lower the cost of living, make our communities safer, and to end the construction of thousands of court mandated housing units in communities around the state. Senator Bramnick’s career in public service began over 30 years ago. Senator Bramnick served on the Plainfield City Council. He was an assistant professor of business law at Rider University and an adjunct professor of business law at Rutgers University. Senator Bramnick is also a partner in the law firm of Bramnick, Rodriguez, Grabas & Woodruff, based in Scotch Plains. He is a certified civil trial attorney and a frequent lecturer for both the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the American Association for Justice. Senator Bramnick holds a B.A. in political science from Syracuse University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He also holds a J.D. from Hofstra University’s School of Law. He resides in Westfield with his wife Patricia and has two grown children, Brent and Abigail. As Governor, Jon will end the one party rule that has taken over Trenton, leading to an unending stream of mandates, tax hikes and extreme policy, restoring balance in New Jersey.
Make New Jersey Affordable-Cut income taxes by simplifying backets and adjusting for inflation. Under the plan, a joint filer making $110,000 would see an annual savings of $1,600 and a single filer would see $1,000 in savings. -Implementing property tax relief that will fully fund our schools, requiring any excess funding is returned to property taxpayers. Property taxes for the average resident would fall by $800 immediately.
Keep Our Communities Safe-Require repeat offenders to remain in jail, ending the current catch and release policy. -Increase funding for local law enforcement to allow for more patrols. -Implement warrant task forces that combine the efforts of state, county and local law enforcement to proactively apprehend those with warrants instead of waiting until they strike again. -Increase penalties for violent criminals.
Sustainable, Affordable Energy-Eliminate the mandate that would ban the sale of gas powered cars by 2035. -Recognize that renewable energy sources present a pathway forward but until the technologies become more affordable and reliable, continue utilizing clean natural gas and nuclear energy.
Stop Overdevelopment -Take the decision making process of where affordable housing is built out of the hands of the courts and work with the legislature to ensure housing is built responsibly, in areas where there is demand.
Quality Education for all-Expand charter schools in failing school districts. -Fully fund our public schools to ensure the cost of education does not break the bank of property tax payers while providing quality education for all students.
Empower Patients and Doctors-End the pre-approval process that allow insurance companies to override treatment decisions made by your doctor.
